Why did we decide to do this?

By taking this step, we not only want to make our own activities more climate-friendly, but also encourage other companies and conference participants to make sustainable decisions.

No additional costs for our customers

An important advantage of our concept is that there are no additional costs for you as a conference participant. The compensation of CO₂ emissions is already integrated in the conference package - so you can concentrate on our event without worrying and at the same time make a contribution to climate protection.

What is Atmosfair?

Atmosfair is a German non-profit organisation that focuses on climate protection. Among other things, it is dedicated to offsetting CO₂ emissions. Using scientifically sound calculations, Atmosfair determines the carbon footprint of air travel and events such as the Battery Forum and supports projects worldwide to reduce greenhouse gases. In this way, you make an active contribution to climate protection by offsetting your emissions.

What requirements have we fulfilled?

We have fulfilled all the necessary criteria and requirements of Atmosfair to ensure transparent and certified offsetting. Our calculations are based on recognised standards and the projects we support are regularly monitored and evaluated. So you can be sure that your climate-neutral measures are actually having an impact.

How is the compensated amount of CO₂ calculated?

Atmosfair's CO₂ calculator takes into account various factors such as the route travelled, the choice of transport, the event location, the choice of food and much more in order to accurately calculate the CO₂ emissions for a single trip. Based on this data, the calculator determines the amount of CO₂ generated during the trip. The final result is calculated after the event so that the actual emissions are actually offset.

Do I have to pay anything extra for this?

No, the costs for offsetting are included in our conference package. You benefit from climate-neutral travel without any additional financial outlay.
